Appropriate Technology-Based Project-Based Learning: 3D Printing Utilization for Learning Media Class

Indonesia has more than ten thousand islands, making it an archipelago; therefore, the distribution of learning media and facilities over country is difficult. This condition may affect material delivery student's understanding. Thus, do-it-yourself (DIY) helps to overcome this condition. We investigated usefulness applying appropriate technology through 3D printing technique fabricate inspired by local wisdom meet needs media. The students were guided a project-based (PjBL) method find problem, design their media, using printer, expected be applied deliver teaching in class. study aimed observe implementation designing process based on theory reality. A qualitative questionnaire used measure responses. found that PjBL project increases students' motivation creativity effectiveness delivering materials. Furthermore, printed-based can easily fabricated, producing less waste.
